29.09.09 Crit

Too many things here, and i am not clearfy about this the maint point of my project. honesty, 20 hours working on second life, too many things goes on when i am working on it. next time i should focus on A successful Architectural Moment, and always being critical about myself, that is very important, Judy told me just be careful of using the language. Contemperary instead of Modern architecture (1920). Oh, my english is so crap~~~~~

24.09.09 Remember what do you want to achieve~

Honestly, I had a crap Mid-crit tody, Judy always straight away, she said, U didnt achieve what u want to achieve, u want to lead us to experience the dramatic space, but u didnt create the space, u just done the surface, it is not enough, all the images are still in ur mind, and u are using the colors to change the atomsphere, u missed the wall, if just create the a cube it will have that sence, but u didnt.

How to under stand the space is important, and walls, floors,  ceiling, closing space, that is the space we want to create, not just the group~~~

Another thing i need to remember, pick a best moment of the project. to lead people to experience it. which is very important.

I am not sure whether i want to exchange to Melbourne Uni to study architecture. or Master maybe, i am not really sure yet.

Judy was right, thanked to her critical language, she considered for design, we r not expecting you do the magic things, which came up random idea, and even not really understand it, we should see you work from the previous project, and carrying on the same ideas to develop it , we should see your working progress, steps by steps. It is ture for me, not just for design, life is also, no matter i am doing, and what i did, think out the reason, make it relevant, stick with one is enough, what i need to do, to refine it. the picture i did this morning, it is about the light and the space, use the concept "Z" the create a space with dramatic atomsphere, by people working above or underneath, judge said it is full stopped now, plus a cross, anyway, it is a lesson to me.

Architecture Jounal 20.09.09

I thought a lot during the Tech 107 Lecture, it is about the Glumlam timer industry, two of them talked about the timber used in different ways engaged withe the architecture buildings, and a lots of images are showed on the ppt, it is quite expressive when hearing so many advantages compare to concrete: such as a timber structure house, after the fire, and didn't change the frame, the timber stucture still suport the the building for 28 years; and the Yellow Tree House (Auckland North Shore), The Onepoto Footbridge (auckland north shore). it is quite interesting to glumlam timer to creative amazing curves as well. To understand the attribute of timber is quite important.

Recently I read about Antoni Gaudi, in his life design, all the element are not straight line, maybe he is inspired by the nature, but the question came to my mind, is the curve architecture elements come more powerful than straight line?
